Weekly Update

It has been almost two weeks since I have written an update on my health journey.  I caught the flu/cold the past week and it has been hard to do anything other than my regular routine – go to work, cook, clean, sleep and repeat.  Isn’t it ironic that I got sick one week into my resolution?

Honestly, I haven’t worked out in the past weeks.  The energy and motivation was not there at all.  I was just too sick to to get up earlier than I normally do just to work out.  I wanted to sleep more and relax so that I could get better and get back on to my regular programming.  Although I didn’t do any workouts, I did manage to eat well during the past few weeks. It wasn’t my regular salads and chicken breast because I wasn’t feeling up for that.  When I am sick, I want something warm and soothing so I opted out for a more easier to swallow food such as congee and soup.  I jam packed the soup and congee with vegetables such as spinach and ginger to help with my sore throat.

I am almost at 100% and cannot wait to go back on track with the workouts.  I got the eating part down but working out, not so much.  My main goal this week is to get back on track with my daily workouts.  I know it will be challenging but I will try my best to do so.
