It has been almost two weeks since I have written an update on my health journey. I caught the flu/cold the past week and it has been hard to do anything other than my regular routine – go to work, cook, clean, sleep and repeat. Isn’t it ironic that I got sick one week into my resolution?
Honestly, I haven’t worked out in the past weeks. The energy and motivation was not there at all. I was just too sick to to get up earlier than I normally do just to work out. I wanted to sleep more and relax so that I could get better and get back on to my regular programming. Although I didn’t do any workouts, I did manage to eat well during the past few weeks. It wasn’t my regular salads and chicken breast because I wasn’t feeling up for that. When I am sick, I want something warm and soothing so I opted out for a more easier to swallow food such as congee and soup. I jam packed the soup and congee with vegetables such as spinach and ginger to help with my sore throat.
I am almost at 100% and cannot wait to go back on track with the workouts. I got the eating part down but working out, not so much. My main goal this week is to get back on track with my daily workouts. I know it will be challenging but I will try my best to do so.
I hope all of you have a wonderful Monday!

It is finally Friday. I thought this work week will never end – I only worked two days but it felt like eternity. I am totally pooped and just ready to get on with the weekend and catch up with my sleep. I usually get 8 hours of sleep everyday but I recently haven’t because of all the festivities that were going on during the past few weeks. I am having a really though time getting back into my regular routine and I hope it happens sooner than later because I hate feeling this way.
Exhaustion has been a real big problem for me these past couple of days. I just don’t feel like doing anything physical. I ALMOST didn’t do my workout today and the only reason why I did is because of my little one. She asked me if we can workout together (how can I say no to that?). She copies all the moves I do and has her own little “mat” beside mine.
Since I will be back to my regular routine next week, I’ve decided to write a weekly journal instead of posting daily journals. I doubt that you folks would like to hear the same thing over and over again – I will save you from that misery. I am going to be posting one journal each week highlighting the good, bad and the ugly. But if you are really curious to see what goes on behind the screen, then follow me on Instagram.
Today is officially the start of my holidays. I am lucky to have a week off during the busiest time of the year, Christmas. To kick it off, I made a To-Do list. My life has been hectically busy ever since I moved out and making a list really keeps me on track and in check. It gives me a sense of accomplishment and ensures that I get things done in a good timely manner.
Now that Christmas is just around the corner, this list is very ever so important to me. I moved out in the beginning of December and have been busy unpacking and getting things together in the house. So, I have kind of swept Christmas preperations under the rug. I haven’t really done much for the season, heck I do not even have a Christmas tree. So I am investing my time this weekend to get prepared for this wonderful holiday and in order to do so, I have compiled a list of things to do.
Here is a glimpse of my ‘Let’s get prepared for Christmas’ list:

Welcome back to another “Food Sunday”. To all my Canadian followers, Happy Canada Day! Instead of going out and joining the rest of Canada on their festivities, I decided to stay in and spend some quality time with my little one, which I very much needed after the long week I had. We did a little celebrating of our own by indulging on maple crème cookies and listening to some tunes from one of our favourite Canadian singer, Shawn Mendes.
