Making a List & Checking it Twice

Today is officially the start of my holidays. I am lucky to have a week off during the busiest time of the year, Christmas. To kick it off, I made a To-Do list. My life has been hectically busy ever since I moved out and making a list really keeps me on track and in check. It gives me a sense of accomplishment and ensures that I get things done in a good timely manner.

Now that Christmas is just around the corner, this list is very ever so important to me. I moved out in the beginning of December and have been busy unpacking and getting things together in the house. So, I have kind of swept Christmas preperations under the rug. I haven’t really done much for the season, heck I do not even have a Christmas tree. So I am investing my time this weekend to get prepared for this wonderful holiday and in order to do so, I have compiled a list of things to do.

Here is a glimpse of my ‘Let’s get prepared for Christmas’ list:

  • Finish Christmas shopping (I have an entirely different list for this – it is a secret)
  • Pick up a Christmas tree and some Christmas decorations for the house – my little one has been asking to decorate the house for weeks now and I feel really bad about this.
  • Wrap Christmas presents
  • Write Christmas cards
  • Drop off presents
  • Buy items for the charcuterie board for our Christmas potluck dinner
  • Ensure that our Christmas sweater are washed

This sums up my to-do list and I have two days to get all of these done. I usually make lists for almost just about anything – chores, events, etc. Do you make a physical list or does that overwhelm you?
