Sometimes life can just get a little too overwhelming and stressful. One of the things I do in order to alleviate some of the stress is to take some time for myself and do something I enjoy.
I love watching movies and reading books, blogs magazines, etc. Today, I will be treating myself to a movie my boss (she is pretty cool) lent to me. It is called Your Name. I am super excited to watch this. I haven’t watched a japanese animated film in a looooong time. I remember watching Spirited Away when it came out in 2001! I really enjoyed it.
Here is a little glimpse of what the movie is about. I got this synopsis right out of the back of the Blu-Ray Disc case (would “DVD case” still be a correct term for this?).
“Mitusha and Taki are complete strangers living separate lives until they suddenly switch places. Mitusha wakes up in Taki’s body, and he is in hers. This occurrence happens randomly, and they must adjust their lives around each other. Yet, somehow, it works. They build a connection by leaving notes for one another until they wish to finally meet. But something stronger than distance may keep them apart.”
I haven’t researched much about this movie because I want it to be a total surprise. But, judging from the synopsis, it feels like it will be a rom-com. I don’t mind it, because I am a sucker for that specific genre.
I really hope this movie do not disappoint because this is my hump day treat!
